This wii version only had one cinematic cut scene and it was very out of nowhere. The only thing else i would like to add is that i have seen 1 cinematic cutscene from the original version and it automatically gives it one point higher than this version. Like i said i didn't play the original version but i have seen both characters, and i must say, anime hair aside, the updated color scheme of the outfit, and even hair, is much more satisfying and charismatic.
If only the first 5 hours played like the last 2 this game would have been a couple points higher in my book. Rygar adapts a few RPG mechanics to spice up gameplay. At least the game isn’t as rough as its arcade brethren. But like that the game the journey to its conclusion is a bit frustrating. is the boss battles and level design towards the end of the game. Rygar was one of the first to follow in Metroid’s footsteps and largely succeeds at it, unlike Section-Z. is the music, which has some questionable moments, but for the most part is done very tastefully and well timed. There are really only 4 good points to this game. The most story you get out of this game (that makes sense) is obtained through scrolls that display story text. There are loads of great ideas and promising content, but nothing can save it from its almost totally nonsensical dialogue and lack of a cohesive plot.
